Rear-ventilated rainscreen cladding system

The ventilated curtain wall façade (VHF): the clever choice for your home!

No more damp walls, mould, and rising heating costs! If you want to renovate or visually upgrade your house, a rear-ventilated rainscreen façade (VHF) is the perfect solution. With ZF ZIERER façades, you rely on durable quality, reliable moisture protection, and efficient thermal insulation – all while enjoying a high level of design freedom.

How does a ventilated curtain wall façade work?

The principle of VHF is as simple as it is effective: The façade cladding is not applied directly to the masonry but mounted on a substructure using a driving rain-tight locking system. This ensures that the existing exterior wall is optimally protected and that insulation and cladding function independently. Between the thermal insulation attached to the masonry and the outer façade cladding is a ventilation gap. This air channel allows continuous, uninterrupted airflow. Weather-related precipitation or excess indoor moisture that can accumulate on the façade is reliably drained away. The result: The masonry remains permanently protected against dampness, mould, and structural damage.
